Megan L. Boyd Wife, Mom, Teacher, Author
Megan is a wife, mother, former foster-mom, and public school teacher. As an overcomer of childhood trauma and a broken home, Megan has always had a heart for making a home that is safe and sharing the healing and freedom she has experienced in Christ with others, especially teenagers. Megan spent some time in formal ministry as a director of Coffee Talk, a mentorship program for high school girls, but much of her ministry has been devoted to teenagers through the public school system.
Megan and her husband, Jason, opened their home formally for foster care in 2020 and were placed with a sibling group. That placement lasted eighteen months and ended with the children being placed with their biological father. Through their time as foster-parents, they built a relationship with the father of the children and committed to maintaining a relationship with the family after reunification took place. This relationship revealed to Megan a need for equipping parents with relevant and accessible tools to guide healthy parent-child relationships, Christ-centered homes, and intentional character building.
Jason and Megan have also had several high-school-aged boys live with them due to different life circumstances. Many intentional conversations happened through these different seasons that showed the need and desire for teenagers to pay more attention to the development of their heart and character.
Megan and Jason have been married since 2007 and are the proud parents of Jay and Natalie. They can most often be found at the ball field, gym, or their six-acre “farm” caring for their chickens, donkeys, cats, and dogs. Megan loves to travel, has a dream to visit all fifty states, and never misses an opportunity to watch her kids do what they love, which is often associated with a sport.
